My top four nail polish colours of Summer 2018

One of my favourite things about the changing seasons is that the colour palettes in beauty products always change to suit it.

I love how we associate pastel colours with Spring, bright colours with Summer and Reds, Purples and Greys with Autumn and Winter.

I really love experimenting with nail colours as you can change looks quite easily and quickly, maybe to match an outfit of fit your mood. In this post, I want to share with you the nail colours I have been obsessed with this summer, and to insist that you add them to your nail colour collection right now!

Rimmel London 60 Second Super Shine – 878 Roll in the Grass

Since I bought the Maybelline shade ‘Mint for Life, I have wanted a brighter green to add to my nail polish collection. This shade Roll in the Grass ticks all the right boxes!

I love how bright and bold it is, I usually wear this shade mostly on my fingernails, It really makes a statement.  With all Rimmel colours they are easy to apply and they dry really quickly.

To get the best vibrant colour I would suggest applying two coats and then adding a top coat to get extra shine. I also find with a top the polish lasts longer.

Rimmel London 60 Second Super Shine – 322 Neon Fest

After watching Love Island and seeing some of the bright nail colours that Dani and co were wearing I really wanted a bright and dare I say it a Neon looking pink.

This is a very different colour for me and with all the hot weather we had last month, I thought why not!

I wear this colour on both my fingernails and toenails, but I think I prefer it on my fingernails. It is such a great colour, which is perfect for summertime.

Rimmel London 60 Second Super Shine – 407 Hot Tropicana

Coral and burnt oranges have always been my go-to shades for Summer. I did have some lovely ones last year, but they now have dried up!

This Hot Tropicana shade is such a great colour. It is more vibrant compared to the shades I had last year. I have been wearing this on my toenails pretty much since I bought the colour!

One of the reasons that I bought it was because it matched my Paddleboard and I love a bit of colour coordination.

Maybelline Color Show 60 Seconds – 301 Love this Sweater

For every vibrant colour you have, you should also have a few subtle ones. This shade Love this Sweater is my favourite nude at the moment. I love the slight pinky tone it has to it.

After Rimmel London nail colours, Maybelline is my next go-to brand. These polishes are easy to apply and also dry just as quickly, which is perfect for me as I’m always in a rush!

Don’t forget that base and top coat, I love Maybelline Dr.Rescue. This one doubles up as a base and top coat and leaves my nails looking shiny and feeling stronger.

So these are the nail colours I have been loving using this summer, If you love these colours as much as I do, then you can pick these up from your local Boots.
