I Always think of February as the month looovvveee, with Valentine’s Day and all that. So I’d thought I’d write a post about my favourite lipstick colours. (A slightly loose theme but hey)
I am obsessed with lipstick, especially Matte lipsticks. I love how they look and how long lasting they are. Especially if you have a Valentine to kiss, you want a lipstick that will be long lasting!
So get ready to pucker up with my nine hot lipstick picks.
Rimmel London Matte lipstick Shade 200 – Salute
I’m normally a fan of nude tones so this lipstick is a slightly different shade for me. It’s a lovely light pink, which is very girly. I love the matte finish as it’s long lasting and doesn’t smudge. I think it’s great for everyday wear and it’s a nice pop of colour, ready for springtime.
Mac Matte Lipstick shade 32 – Please Me
This is my first Mac lipstick, and I must admit that I love it. I was bought it as a gift for being my friends Bridesmaid and this was the shade I wore throughout her wedding day.
It makes my lips feel really soft and It lasts for most of the day, I only had to reapply once.
I love the shade as it is quite a natural pink. This is one of my favourite lipsticks as every time I wear it I’m reminded of all the fun I had at my friends wedding.
Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor – 630 Seduction
This is the first lip colour I have bought from Revlon, I have wanted to try the lip colours in their range for a while now. I have been quite impressed with their foundations, highlighters and powders. I love the casing of this lip colour as it looks really cool and streamline and it fits nicely in my bag.
The colour is a lovely subtle nude, which is perfect for everyday wear, it also smells amazing! It is quick and easy to apply, and gives a lovely finish to your lips.
Rimmel London Matte Lipstick Shade 700 – Trendsetter
Trendsetter is always my go to shade. It is a slightly darker nude shade that has a subtle plum tone to it. It is versatile shade and is suitable for everyday wear which can take you through to the evening. I think this shade will go with most skin tones. The added bonus is that it is a matte finish which is long lasting too.
Rimmel London Matte Lipstick Shade 720 – I Dare You
The lightest shade of my valentine lipstick picks, this is a light blush pink. A very natural shade. It would be a good lipstick colour if you want something very subtle. This lipstick has a satin finish so in my opinion it doesn’t last as long as the matte lipsticks I use but the finish gives a nice sheen to your lips. It is the perfect shade if your not big on bright colours and just want a little bit of natural colour.
Rimmel London Matte Lipstick Shade 750 – Look Who’s Talking
This is one of the darker shades of my valentine lipstick picks, a dark cherry colour. I normally wear this when I’m am going out as it think it’s a little too dark to wear to everyday. It is the perfect lipstick to wear if you want to make a bit of a statement.
Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour – 200 Pink Blink
I love this colour, it is slightly brighter than the other pink shades I have and adds a bit of a statement to my usual day to day makeup. This has staying power and lasts for a good 3 hours before I have to reapply. This lip colour is great to wear all day and doesn’t leave my lips feeling dry.
Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour – 810 Plum This Show
I love a plum lip colour, there is something very autumnal about this shade. I only wear this colour occasionally as it is quite a statement for me, but people always say it is a nice colour when I wear it. It is from the same range as 200 Blink Pink, so it is long lasting and comfortable to wear. The wand applicator allows for quick application and it dries really quickly too. It is perfect for a hot valentines date.
Rimmel Stay Matte liquid Lip Colour – 500 Fire Starter
I think every girl should own a bright red lip colour and this shade is the one for me. One of the reasons I choose this colour is because this shade of red is my favourite colour and it is the perfect shade for this time of year.
Again this colour is from Rimmel’s Matte liquid Lip Range, when I find a firm favourite I tend to stick with them! The colours are so vibrant and they don’t smudge, and the formula leaves your lips feeling soft.
