Wow, where has the last month gone? October for me always seems to fly by! October is the month I celebrate my birthday and I love how it always seems packed with plans and seeing friends.
This year I was treated to a lovely surprise weekend away in the sunshine of Valencia (more on that later). I also had a girly afternoon tea with lots of cake! which was a lovely way to spend a Saturday.
But let me get on with my favourites from this month.
Chip mug from Beauty and the Beast – Primark
YES! I have finally got my mits on a Chip mug! I have been keeping my eye for one ever since they first came out! Thanks to my lovely friend, (who bought it as a birthday gift) I have one. Wooohooooo!
I love it! Beauty and the Beast was my favourite film when I was about seven, I wanted to be Belle, it nice to have a little reminder of my favourite film, and of course I loved this year’s re-make!
Pomegranate and White Peach scented candle – Sainsbury’s
This candle is AMAZING! I absolutely love the scent, it is a lovely, sweet and autumn smell and I love coming into the room after I have had it burning for a while. I also love the rose gold casing. Sainsbury’s have a whole range of scented candles that smell amazing, they would make fab Christmas gifts.
Checked scarf – Dorothy Perkins
I picked up this last autumn before I went to New York. I love it, not only does it keep nice and snug, I love all the colours, red and blue. My favourite colours and matches most of my outfits.
Rimmel London 340 Berries and Cream
This is my favourite shade at the moment, I have been wearing it all throughout October. I love a plum shade, it is my go-to colour for autumn. Rimmel’s nail colours dry really quickly, they are one of my favourite brands as all of their nail colours are so vibrant.
Chai Tea – Tesco’s Finest
I have really been loving Chai tea this month, cinnamon reminds me, dare I say it of Christmas, and I just the smell of cinnamon. Chai Tea has been a long obsession of mine for years, It was the only hot drink I would have, before I discovered my love for tea. But it has been great to rediscover my original love of Chai Tea and it is a great tea to drink this time of year.
L’oreal Skin Expert Paris Pure Clay Glow Mask
I really love using the Pure Clay masks from L’oreal Paris. This month I have been using their Glow mask, which I have been loving. I try a use this mask a few times a week, to give my skin an extra dewy shine.
Last sun of summer
As I said previously, October my birthday month. To celebrate my boyfriend took me on a surprise weekend away to Valencia, which was amazing! We had so much fun exploring the old town and going down to the beaches and the Marina, and of course enjoying all Tapas and Sangria!
The weather was nice and warm, but slightly cooler in the evenings. It was nice feeling being back in my summer outfits, while everyone I knew at home, were putting their heating on and wearing jumpers (sorry not sorry).
I haven’t been on holiday in October before, but I will definitely think about about a little trip away this time of year again, all the kids are back at school and the tourists have gone home, and you get a bit more of an authentic feel of the place you are visiting and of course as it extends the summer.
So these are my favourites for October, what have you been loving this month? See you guys on the next one xx
