August Favourites

I know, again this post is a little bit late! I may have been a bit little lazy and enjoying that last bit of sunshine.

Anyway no more excuses! Here are my August favourites, I seem to have chosen a bit of a pink theme, which is quite girly even for me.

L’Oréal Paris Infaillible Total Cover Concealer Palette

I really like the total correction concealer palettes that are on the market at the minute, I tried the Maybelline Master Como Palette and loved it.

I haven’t seen this one, so I decided to give it a go. This Palette has 5 shades, 2 colour correcting shades and 3 shades of concealer. The lilac shade is to conceal dark circles and to add brightens, the green shade is neutralise any redness and hide blemishes, and the 3 concealers are well to conceal and blend the colour.

I have really enjoyed using this concealer, it is very lightweight and comfortable to wear all day, it leaves my skin looking smooth, and the coverage doesn’t look heavy. I think it leaves my skin looking brighter and fresher.

Revlon Photoready Insta-Fix Highlighting Stick – 200 Pink Light

Lately I have really been loving Revlon products. I have loved using the Revlon Colourstay Foundation and the Revlon Photoready Powder.

The Photoready Insta-Fix Highlighter has been no different. I like that it is in a stick form, as I find it really quick and easy to apply, especially if I am in a hurry. I like the natural pink shimmer, It looks quite subtle but you can build up coverage if you want a bit more of a dramatic look.

I have loved using this highlighter as it adds a nice fresh dewy grow to my everyday makeup look.

Yankee Candle – Cherry Blossom

I don’t normally go for pink candles (they don’t fit with my colour scheme) but Brendan’s mum gave it to me, as it didn’t really go with her colour scheme! But I couldn’t turn this one down as it smells amazing. (As most Yankee candles do!)

I love the mixture of the sweet and fruity cherry scent and the fresh floral blossom scent. I have loved using it and it is such a lovely scent to fill my house with. I also love that scent stays around for a few hours after you snuffed out the candle.

L’Oréal Paris Infaillible Nudist Matte Lip Paint – 211 Babe-In

Another new product from L’Oréal Paris, I wanted to try this lip paint as I have seen some great reviews about it and I wanted to try it for myself. I love a Matte lip colour especially in pinky nude shades.

5 shades are available to choose from, the shade I have gone for is 211 Babe-In. I love the colour, it has a slight pink tone and is perfect for everyday wear. The teardrop shaped applicator makes It really easy to apply and is comfortable to wear.

Compared to another matte lip paints I have tried, this one has a slight sheen to it, which I wasn’t too sure about when I first tried it, I thought it looked more like a gloss finish but I have come around and I love it.

Game of Thrones – Series 7…(spoiler alert!)

Ok so, this may have been the reason why I’m a little bit behind with my blog posts. (Sorry not sorry). Like a lot of people throughout August I have been obsessed with Game of Thrones…

When will there be a full Stark reunion? When will Bran tell Jon Snow the truth? Will Jamie finally be able to break away from Cersei? And is she lying about being pregnant with his baby? What about the last episode, am I allowed to comment on Jon Snow’s bottom?

Game of Thrones Series 7

It has been quite a series, the sadness of Viserion dying and then being bought back from the dead by the Knight King, Daenerys’ dragon taking down the Lannister army. Samwell cutting off Gilly when she made the best discovery of the series, only to find out that he actually paid attention to her, hooray! The last episode left so many questions unanswered… I can’t possibly wait for 18 MONTHS! Until series 8.
