Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour Review

I have recently bought two shades of Rimmel’s Stay Matte Liquid colours and I wanted to write a little review.

I love a matte lip colour and when I saw these in Boots I was really excited to try them. I have tried Rimmel’s the Only 1 Matte lipsticks, I love the shade Trendsetter, it is a shade I wear quite a lot.

About the range

The lip colours are available in 15 Shades ranging from light pinks to bright reds and deep plums, the two shades I went for are 200 Pink Blink and 810 Plum This Show.

I wanted to choose an everyday colour and a bold statement colour for more of an evening look.

My verdict

I more used to lipsticks, so applying bold colours with a wand was at first a bit strange, but the shape of the wand aids easy and quick application.

I love the shade of Pink Blink it is a bit brighter than other pinks and nude shades I have worn, but gives my usual day makeup look an extra pop of colour.

The colour is a bold matte finish and it dries quickly after it is applied.
It doesn’t smudge, and it doesn’t rub off when I give my boyfriend a little goodbye kiss when I leave for work.

It is also waterproof but I would like more staying power, the colour starts to fade after about 3 hours or for me after I have had a few cups of tea! I would have liked it to stay put for a bit longer, but after replying it stayed put until I got home from work.

Overall I think Rimmel London’s Stay Matte Lip colours are awesome. Great colour, easy and quick application and comfortable to wear all day. Some lipsticks can leave my lips feeling very dry and a bit sore, this formula leaves them feeling soft.

At £5.99 each they don’t break the bank either. I definitely recommend adding these to your make bag!

The next colours I have my eye on are 700 Be My Baby 710 Latte To Go
