July Favourites

Mish Mesh Blog - July Favourites

I know, this post is a little bit late being the middle of August, but it has been a busy couple of weeks for me. I had a bad cold that has taken ages to get rid of. I had my friends wedding in Las Vegas, I was a bridesmaid, so I had a hen do to organise and I helped with decorations for the big day.

Now I’m back home and have loads of planned posts to catch up on! Starting with this one, here are the things I have been loving during July.

L’Oréal Skin Expert/Paris Hydra Genius Aloe Water

I have seen this product all over Instagram and a lot of bloggers have been loving it, so I was keen to try it myself. I use this moisturiser at night, as it is lightweight and my skin absorbs it quickly. It says gives skin moisture for up to 72 hours, quite a bold claim.

For me I have noticed my skin is softer and during the hotter months my skin can get dry, so it has given my skin an extra bit of needed moisture. You can use it as a day moisturiser as well but I prefer to use my Simple age resisting day cream with SPF.

Cowshed – Cow Pat Moisturising Hand Cream

I got this hand cream in my June Birchbox and I am loving using it. Again with the hot weather (sort of), can make my hands and cuticles dry. I use this hand cream throughout the day, and it leaves my hands feeling really soft. I also love the scent. It is very floral and fresh, a very summery scent I think.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour – 200 Pink Blink

I love a matte lipstick, one of my favourites is Rimmel London shade 700 Trendsetter. So when I saw this lip colour I was really excited to try it. I love the shade Pink blink, it’s a bit of a similar shade to Trendsetter but it is a bit brighter and more pinky.

It lasts for about 3 hours before you have to reapply, but what is really good about this lip colour is that it isn’t too drying, some lipsticks I have used can leave my lips feeling quite dry, this one doesn’t, which is a big plus for me.

Maybelline Colour Show 60 Seconds – 52 it’s a boy

For the last few weeks, this has been my go-to nail colour, I just love it.

It is nice and bright and adds a bit of a statement. I really like the Maybelline Colour Show range as they dry quickly and they last for at least 7 days with a good top coat. They have some really great colours in this range.

The Golden Rules of Blogging (& when to break them) – Robin Houghton

My Boyfriend found this book for me while we were in HomeSense and I think it is a really helpful book. Sometimes I am quite hard on myself when it comes to my blog and this book has provided me with some really useful tips and tells you what blogging rules you can break or can’t break.

A lot of the time I have been making it up as I go along, and trying lots of different things, so it is nice to gain more knowledge, and get some really useful ideas.

I’m not a massive book person and I like how this book is laid out, in bite-sized sections which you can flick through at a glance.

Blue and White Pyjama Shorts

I am a big fan of little pyjama shorts, I don’t like wearing long thick pyjama bottoms as I get hot in the night.

These are great as they are in one of my favourite colours – navy blue. They are really thin and lightweight and are great to chill out in during the summertime. I picked these up from Tescos, (I love shopping for clothes while I’m doing my food shop) I usually wear these with a little blue vest top.

White and Gold Bag – Next

I have been using this bag all summer, I saw this in Next and I just had to have it. My friend is a fan of designer bags and she said it reminded her of the Chole Nile bag.

I love the size of this bag as I can use it during the day and also have it as an evening bag, I think it is quite versatile. It is a neutral colour so goes with most of my outfits.

So these have been my favourite things during July. What have you been loving lately? Please let me know in the comment box. Until next time x
