Recently I did a post about my 7 daily beauty essentials, which I really enjoyed writing, so I thought I would share with you the contents of my makeup bag.
I don’t spend loads of money on makeup, I like the drugstore brands, and when I find something I love I normally stick to it. I am a fan of Rimmel London, Maybelline, Seventeen and Revlon. I am also guilty of being a bit of a makeup hoarder, so I’m not going to talk about everything, just products that I am currently using.
BarryM Flawless Colour Correcting Primer
I featured this product in my March favourites, and with very good reason. I love how soft it leaves my skin, and I apply it every morning as base before I put my makeup on, the green colour helps to reduce redness, and it has a mattifying formula, which is good for my shiny skin.
If you have seen my Instagram posts or my lipstick picks for spring, I have recently become quite obsessed with Lipsticks. I have a few different shades ranging from Nudes to pinks to deep reds.
I love how they can instantly change your look from a day look to an evening look by just going for a deeper colour. I have a tried a few different brands, but the ones I’m loving are Rimmel London Matte Lipsticks and Mac.
Barry M Illuminating Strobing Cream – Iced Bronze
I am starting to prefer using highlighter over heavy contouring. I like how it gives the appearance of an instant dewy glow in a few quick sweeps. I use this highlighter on my cheekbones and on my brow bone. I love how creamy it is, which makes applying and blending really easy.
Seventeen Define & Conquer Contour Kit
This is another one of my March favourites, But I love this contouring kit, I have moved away from heavy contouring products, this kit is a light powder which is not so heavy but still gives a subtle contour. I love the mirror as well, as it is a good size, I use it to apply all my makeup when I am out and about.
Real Technique Brushes – Face Expert
I recently bought this brush from TK Maxx ( they are usually a bit cheaper) The one pictured is the face expert brush.
I have a foundation and a contour brush and quite a few others, but this is my favourite brush at the moment. I like the shape of it, and I find it blends my foundation really well.
Wonder’full Extreme Black Mascara
I think this is a really good mascara. I like subtle make up around my eyes, especially for everyday wear, this mascara is perfect.
It isn’t too heavy, and it doesn’t clump. Its gives my eyelashes a nice length, it also doesn’t smudge and it lasts all day.
Revlon Colorstay Foundation – 150 Buff
This is a fairly new product for me. I only started wearing foundation a few months ago, before I used to wear BB or CC cream. I like this foundation because it is fairly light coverage, which you can build up for extra coverage if you need to.
This colour is a really good match to my skin tone, although now we are heading into summer, I think I might need to mix this colour with a slightly darker shade.
Maybelline Brow Satin Eyebrow Pencil – Dark Blonde
I use this product less now because I get my eyebrow tinted but I use this eyebrow pencil when I’m in between tints. I have quite fair eyebrows and I like to have a slightly darker colour on my brows as I feel it frames my face.
This is a duo pencil, one side is a eyebrow pencil and the other side is a filling powder which gives the perfect matte look. I love the finish I get with this product.
Maybelline New York Master Camo Colour Correcting Concealer Kit
This is a new product I have added to my makeup routine, It is a great concealer and colour correction kit. I have written a review on this product which you can read here.
So these are some of the products that are in my makeup bag, I do have more but these are the products I really enjoying using at the moment. What are your favourite makeup products? X
