I have recently added this kit to my makeup routine, I have been looking for an affordable concealing and correction kit for a while, I was very excited when I found this one. So I thought I would give it a whirl.
What is it?
The Concealer kit contains six different shades, two which help to correct, two which help conceal and two that are used for a bit of highlight.
What do all the colours mean?
The Green tone is meant to reduce redness and help with uneven skin tone and the yellow tone is to help reduce the appearance of dark circles (very handy when I have a few late nights).
The two middle colours in the palette are your concealers, you pick the shade closest to your own skin tone and go over what you have just colour corrected. These are also good for dark circles and spots.
The last two colours are your highlighters, you can use these shades on your chin, brow bone and cheekbones, to help enhance your features.
As I mentioned previously I have been looking for a colour correction kit for a while now, and I was drawn to this one because it not only has concealers it also has highlighters, so you have a bit more of an one product does all, which is great when you are travelling around. Currently the kit comes in two shades, Light (which is the one I am using) and Medium.
I love how creamy the concealers are, which makes them really easy to apply. You get a little double sided brush to help apply them with but I prefer using my beauty blender.
I like using the green tone around my nose as I seem to have a constant runny nose, so it helps with the redness in that area and it also reduces some redness I get from spots. The yellow concealer is very good for when I have dark circles under my eyes, and I love the highlighters which I use on my cheekbones and on my brow bone.
They feel nice on my skin, they aren’t heavy and they last for most of the day. This concealer palette gets a big thumbs up from me.
One last thing…
The only thing I would change would be to put a mirror in in the lid, As when I’m applying it I have to use a separate mirror which is slightly annoying. (I have been a bit spoilt with all the makeup kits that come with mirrors) I have to carry around an extra one in my make bag, which takes up more space and when I’m out and about I like to take as little as possible.
Apart from that I LOVE IT!
Well that’s my review on the Maybelline Master Camo Colour Correcting Concealer Kit. Have you tried it yet? What do you think? x
