My favourite facial masks

Mish Mesh Blog - Favourite facial masks

I love nothing more than coming home to relax and chill out with a quick facial mask.

It is a great way to give your skin a bit of lift. And it’s always nice to treat yourself to a little pampering.

I have been trying out some new ones recently here are a few of my favourites

Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask

This mask promises to rehydrate skin, reduce the look of fine lines and revives skin radiance. This tissue mask is infused with a super-hydrating serum concentrated with Pomegranate extract.

I discovered this one quite recently and always try to pick up a few when I’m in Boots. I try and use this one at least once a week. You just take it out of the packet and put it directly on your face and leave it for 15 minutes.

The mask feels so cooling. It doesn’t sting and when I take it off, it leaves my skin feeling really fresh, soft and moisturised.

Loreal Skin Expert Pure Clay Purity Mask

This mask has a blend of 3 pure clays. The 3 clays together are known to absorb impurities, help eliminate imperfections and help clarify the complexion.

The clays works deep into the pores which leaves skin purified and matte-looking without drying it out. I try and use this mask about once or twice a week. It takes 5-10 minutes to dry and you wash it off with a wet towel.

This mask does sting a little, but I think it’s because it is working its way deep into my pores. It leaves my skin feeling really soft. As my skin gets quite oily, this mask makes my skin look a bit more mattified.

If you are going out and want your skin to look really clear  I would definitely recommend this mask, but I would use it a few days before as I have found to get a few breakouts as it can bring dirt to the surface.

7th Heaven Masks

I love these masks, they are such an affordable skin pick me up! Some of the masks you can peel off when they have dried after 20-25 minutes and others you rinse off after 10-15 minutes. I ‘ve got one of each.

The peelable mask uses pulped pomegranates, passion flower, raspberry, grape, cranberry and vitamin E, which contain antioxidants that help protect skin. But the mask gives a deep clean. I like these masks as they are quite gentle so I can use more regularly and they leave my skin feeling really soft and fresh.

Blemish Mask

I love this one as well as it’s really cooling when you put in on. This one has a mud blend of Aloe Vera, Willow, Evening Primrose and Witch Hazel, that will target problem areas of your skin and clean your complexion.

Now more than ever I am getting more outbreaks (so not fair) so I do like to use this one to help combat my spots. After using it, my skin does look feel a lot cleaner.

What is also nice about these face masks is that they don’t test on animals.

So these are my favourite face masks at the minute. What are you using? Please let me know as I’m always wanting to test out new ones. X

  1. Do you have sensitive skin at all? I do and I’m always scared to use face masks in case I come out all red! So I’m just wondering if any of them are better than others for avoiding that?!

      1. Good choice! I use Garnier micellar water, and its so gentle and I have noticed my skin is less spotty. How are you finding it? Do you like it? x
