This weekend we celebrate another commercial holiday, one that I find hard to cope with, Mother’s day.
After losing my mum, this day can sometimes leave me feeling quite sad and a little empty. It sometimes leaves me wondering what our relationship would be like today if she was still with us. There is something about February that I love. It is the month that we start to see lighter evenings and that springtime sunshine is creeping through those rainy clouds, which show signs that winter is hopefully coming to an end.

I’m sure I have mentioned this before, but Valentine’s day is a day I’m not really big on. Don’t get me wrong it is a nice opportunity to show your loved one you care. I think we should all try and do a small romantic gesture for one another each day. Like making your significant other a morning coffee or buying them a chocolate egg when you buy petrol, you know the little but very thoughtful gestures.
